Next, we explore Cairo:

• Visit the Cairo Museum with treasures of ancient Egyptian art.
• Lunch at a local restaurant.
• Visit the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx.

After the program, return to the hotel and enjoy free time.

Day 3:

Cairo – Alexandria
Breakfast box ordered for the journey.
We travel for a full day to explore the city of Alexandria:

• Fort Qaitbay – an ancient fortress built from the remains of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria.
• Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa – an ancient necropolis where you will see old tombs, columns, and sarcophagi.
• Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque – the most beautiful and famous mosque in Alexandria. We will explain who it is dedicated to and the architectural techniques used in its construction.
• Bibliotheca Alexandrina – a modern cultural center built in memory of the lost Library of Alexandria.
• Roman Amphitheater and a visit to its interior.
• Lunch at a seafood restaurant by the Mediterranean Sea.

Return to Cairo, check-in at the hotel, free time.
Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.

Day 4:

• Breakfast at the hotel (check-out).
• Domestic flight from Cairo to Aswan (morning flight).
• Arrival in Aswan.
• Transfer and check-in on the cruise ship.
• Meet at Aswan railway station (approximately 9:30-10:00 AM) to begin your amazing journey along the Nile.
• Check-in on the cruise ship (registration starts from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the ship’s reception).
• Lunch on board the ship.

Start your journey in Aswan with sightseeing:

• Visit the Aswan High Dam and the Monument of Friendship, and the Philae Temple on the Island of Isis.
• Return to the cruise, followed by dinner, entertainment, and overnight stay on board in Aswan.

Day 5:

Breakfast on board the cruise ship.

• Midday departure toward Kom Ombo.
• Lunch on board the cruise while heading to Kom Ombo.
• Arrival in Kom Ombo, visit the Kom Ombo Temple (dedicated to the gods Sobek and Horus).
• Return to the Nile cruise.
• Departure to Edfu.
• Arrival in Edfu, dinner, entertainment, and overnight stay on board the cruise in Edfu.

Day 6:

• Early breakfast on board the Nile cruise.
• Horse-drawn carriage ride to explore the local town of Edfu.
• Visit the Temple of Edfu (dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus).
• Return to the Nile cruise by horse-drawn carriage.
• Departure to Esna Lock, lunch on board the cruise while heading to Luxor.
• Cross the Esna Lock.
• Arrival in Luxor around 3:00–4:00 PM.
• Upon arrival in Luxor, start your sightseeing tour of the city.
• Free time in Luxor for city exploration and visiting the local bazaar.
• Optional evening excursion: Visit to Luxor Temple.
• Dinner, entertainment, and overnight stay on board the cruise ship in Luxor.

Day 7:

Optional: On the second day of excursions in Luxor, take the Hot Air Balloon Ride (additional option, no discounts for children).
In the morning, transfer will pick you up between 4:00 AM – 5:00 AM for the hot air balloon ride.
Enjoy a flight over Luxor, the Nile, and the West Bank of Luxor, passing over the ancient temples of the Valley of the Kings. The flight lasts about 40 minutes.
Experience the stunning view of the sunrise from the balloon.
After the excursion, the transfer will return you to the cruise around 7:00–7:30 AM.

• Breakfast on board and check-out from the Nile cruise.
• Departure to complete your journey in Luxor with a visit to Karnak Temple and the West Bank of Luxor.
• Lunch by the Nile at a tourist restaurant with a view of the river, buffet style (drinks not included).
• Visit the Valley of the Kings and explore three tombs of ancient Egyptian pharaohs, with the option to visit King Tutankhamun’s tomb (additional cost, optional).
• Visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon.

Transfer to Luxor airport.
Domestic flight from Aswan to Cairo (evening flight).
Arrival in Cairo, meet and greet at the airport.

Day 8:

Breakfast at the hotel (check-out).
Next, we continue our exploration of Cairo:

• Saladin Citadel, a 12th-century fortress: We will discuss the role of its walls and visit the Muhammad Ali Mosque (the Alabaster Mosque), whose minarets rise above all of Cairo.
• Old Cairo: Visit the Church of St. Mary (the Hanging Church) and learn why this white sanctuary is called “hanging.”
• Lunch.
• Islamic Cairo: Explore Al-Mu’izz Street and the Khan el-Khalili market, one of the oldest markets in the world.
  After the program, transfer to Cairo airport for your flight home.
