Overview

You will be picked up from your hotel in the evening, and travel in a air-conditioned vehicle for around 4 hours to reach Moses mountain.

When you arrive you will start your trekking tour to the top of the mountain, the sacred place where prophet Moses received the 10 commandments, it takes around 2-3 hours to reach the summit.

This will give you a chance to really relax and marvel at the rising sun slowly scattering across the mountains in all its splendour. While gazing at the sunrise, snap awesome photos or pray if you wish then start your decent back down the mountain.

You will then move on to the Monastery of St. Catherine, on arrival you will get a guided tour of the Monastery. It stands at the foot of Mount Horeb where, the Old Testament records, Moses received the Tablet of the Law. The mountain is known and revered by Muslims as Jebel Musa. The entire area is sacred to the three world religions.. Christianity, Islam and Judaism.  Also you will visit the Burning Bush and  Well of Moses. Then enjoy the transfer back to your hotel.

When visiting Holy places, we recommend you wear clothes covering your shoulders and knees. (women are allowed to visit temples in trousers but required to wear a hat or scarf).

This tour is organised on Sunday to Monday,  Wednesday to Thursday and Friday to Saturday.

Departure from hotels from 19:30 (depending on the location of the hotel).

Return next day 13:30-14:30.

0 to 5 years – free of charge.

6 to 11 years – 50% of the cost of the tour.
