Excursions to Luxor are a real treasure for people interested in the history of mankind. Palaces, temples, tombs of pharaohs, their wives and dignitaries, magnificent murals and majestic monuments. All this is here, and all this is thousands of years old!
You will first get to visit the amazing Temple of Karnak, and walk along a two-kilometre long avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to the Temple. Dominated by Statues of a great warrior Pharaoh Ramses 11.
You will then visit the temple of the Queen Hatshepsut, which was the official Burial Chambers of all the Wives and Children of the Royal Family, the site is located in West Bank of Luxor City a few kilometres south of Valley of the Kings, The most fascinating Tomb that will take your breath away, is the one that belongs to Queen Nefertiti, the great wife of Ramses 11.
You will go to see Colossi of Memnon, It was meant to protect the Pharaohs Temple from evil, even after a severe Earthquake, the Colossi of Memnon remains standing strongly for 1000`s of years.
You will then have a buffet style lunch (drinks for a fee) and cross the River Nile by boat, taking in the most stunning scenery of the river Nile.
A day spent in historical Luxor will remain in your memory forever.
If there is time at the end of the tour, you will get the chance to visit Valley of the Kings or Valley of the Queens for an extra cost.
Valley of the Kings which is a treasure trove of archaeological wonders, containing dozens of Tombs filled with Art and Hieroglyphics. See King Tutankhamuns tomb- the most famous site of the valley.
The Valley of The Queens, this is a site in Egypt, where the wives of Pharaohs where buried in ancient times. It was known then as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning: The place of beauty.
When visiting Banana Island or the Valley of the Kings or Queens, tourists who do not visit these places will wait on the bus.
